Participants will engage in activities which will allow them to confront the image in the mirror as they respond to historical events around race that have changed our world and impact education. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of racism, privilege and equity through stories, literature, images and facts. The experiences from this session will support the learner as they assess their current school culture and climate. Each participant will leave with the tools to create an action plan to anchor their school community in moving from words to action as they confront racism and its impact on their school.
