Take your leadership coaching skills to the next level with this high-energy coaching workshop! Join two of IPA’s veteran coaches as they explore the three types of coaching: collaborative, reflective and directive and the strategies you need to deploy them in situationally appropriate ways. Collaborative Leadership Coaching involves collegial, partnership coaching in which the coach and educational leader are focused on jointly working together to raise and improve the level of educational leadership skills. Directive Leadership Coaching initiates very specific and directive conversations with the educational leader to develop necessary or critical actions or behaviors. The communication is directed by the coach and involves strategic and specific directions, evidence-based outcomes, consequences, and next steps. Reflective Leadership Coaching involves collegial, coaching conversations in which the practitioner leads the educational leader through a process cycle of reflecting and analyzing his or her leadership practices, decision-making, problem-solving, and planning skills. In addition to furthering your skills in coaching others, this course is recommended for individuals seeking to become qualified mentors or coaches for IPA and also provides an important learning resource for those seeking to earn the ELN coaching Micro-Credential.
