Dr. Amy Dixon serves as Harrisburg Unit #3 Superintendent. For nearly 20 years, she was Principal and Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Carmi-White County Unit #5 School District. Her administrative career began as principal of an alternative/safe school for students in grades 6-12. Prior to becoming an administrator, she served in various districts as a school social worker. Beyond this work, she is passionate about supporting future leaders as an adjunct professor for Eastern Illinois University, Administrator Academy provider for the Illinois Principals Association, IPA LEAD webinar co-host, former IPA President and former Zone 5 Director for the National Association of Elementary School Principals.
