Dr. Dan Krause began his career in education in 1995 as a high school mathematics teacher and served in department leadership roles prior to joining DuPage High School District 88 in 2002 as an Assistant Principal at Addison Trail High School. He later moved to Willowbrook High School in 2005 and has served as Principal of Willowbrook since 2007.

In addition to being a principal, Dr. Krause is an Adjunct Professor for University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Aurora University in the Educational Leadership program for Masters and Doctoral degrees.

As a member of the Illinois Principals Association since 2002, he has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2014 and had the privilege of serving the association as President in the 2019-2020 school year. He has also served the DuPage Region as State Director, Awards Chairperson, and member of the State Superintendent’s Principal Advisory Council.
