Maggie Essig is an Education Specialist at the Illinois Resource Center. She currently designs and presents professional development workshops supporting educators, schools, and districts on a variety of topics related to ESL and bilingual education. She also teaches graduate courses in the ESL and bilingual education endorsement sequences. Prior to joining the Illinois Resource Center, Maggie was an ESL and bilingual teacher and administrator. Maggie draws upon her background as an EL/bilingual teacher, administrator, and consultant to work with educators that serve ELs to infuse innovation and creativity into curriculum and instruction.
