Evaluator Training

The Illinois State Board of Education has adopted the School Leader Evaluation Plan as the new framework for principal and assistant principal evaluation training (beginning July 1, 2024).

In addition to the required AA #4050 for initial principal designation training and retraining, IPA offers AA #3967, a one-day administrator academy for individuals seeking an overview of the evaluation plan. This course, School Leader Evaluation: A Growth-Focused Approach, is particularly helpful for individuals who will be evaluated under the plan. While this course does not meet evaluator designation training or retraining requirements, it does offer AA or PD credit to participants.
