Books Are Fun is bridging the literacy gap and building our student’s home libraries with Book Blast. We are inspiring more lifelong readers by putting at least one new, popular book in the hands of every student at your school. It’s our mission and our guarantee. Books Are Fun has been committed to bringing the hottest books to adults and children across the United States for more than 30 years. For every Book Blast held in Illinois, we will donate $100 to support the IPA’s Member Assistance Program.
The BuyBoard National Purchasing Cooperative provides school districts with an opportunity to save time and money while purchasing the products they use every day. School districts can benefit from BuyBoard, which was developed to comply with state laws requiring government entities to make purchases from an approved list of vendors who have gone through a competitive bidding process. BuyBoard is supported by the Illinois Principals Association, Illinois Association of School Administrators, and the Illinois Association of School Boards.

The IPA pays retired members’ dues for Illinois Retired Teachers Association membership during the duration of the retired individuals’ membership with IPA. The joint membership offers both organizations the opportunity to collaborate particularly where pension related matters are concerned. Please email membership@ilprincipals.org with questions.

IPA members are eligible to receive a 30 percent tuition discount each semester of their academic degree program, when enrolled within a cohort of at least 12. Through the School of Education Transformative Education Scholars Program, we endeavor to grow the number of educational professionals across PK-22 and expand professional competencies to ensure all students receive the high-quality supports that are essential to academic success and well-being in this everchanging educational landscape. North Central College is pleased to support Illinois educators by offering a 20% tuition benefit to Master of Education degree candidates whose principal mentor is a current member of IPA. The program is delivered online, enabling the College to serve a wider cross section of aspiring leaders in Illinois.
